DESCRIPTION: Hydrogen peroxide is water with additional oxygen. This additional oxygen is nascent and unstable and converts to stable oxygen, during that transformation phase it works as a bleaching agent, an oxidizing agent and as anti-microbial and virucidal agent. Hydrogen peroxide is a mild antiseptic used on the skin to prevent infection of minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. BENEFITS
Primary use of hydrogen peroxide for antiseptic cleaning. In the food industry it is used as sanitizer of food and food surfaces. It self-degrades into harmless water and oxygen.
DILUTION
Use as is or may be diluted with water. Dilution with water will depend on the anticipated use. It can be potentiated by mixing with small doses of acetic acid, which increases its antiseptic function
DIRECTION
For cleaning minor wounds use 1-3% hydrogen peroxide. For other applications contact supplier
PRECAUTIONS:
Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Wash thoroughly after use. Causes burns to eyes and mucous membranes. DO NOT mix with other chemical products. Please refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for details
ANTIDOTES
External: Wash thoroughly with potable water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Eyes: Flush with potable water for at least 15 minutes or until irritation stops.
Internal: DO NOT induce vomiting; drink large quantities of water, milk or milk of magnesia
